May 18, 2023. Theatrical excursion “Journey through time”.

On May 18, 2023, a theatrical tour with elements of interactive and historical characters was organized for visitors of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. Peter I, Catherine II, Ibn Fadlan welcomed tourists. The guests found out interesting historical facts from the mouth of famous people: the decree of Peter I about the protection of Bolgar monuments, Catherine II’s letter to count Panin, adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922.
The tour is timed to coincide with the International Museum Day. Since 1978, more than 150 countries have celebrated the International Day of Museums. As you know, museums are custodians of human history, values and cultural heritage. Bolgar Museum-Reserve also keeps such values, annually celebrates the International Day of Museums and opens its doors to all comers.
