3 July 2020. Opening of the exhibition “Historical portraits”.

On 3 July 2020, in the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization an opening of the exhibition entitled “Historical portraits” took place. It was devoted to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Kolmogortseva I. K. The creative range of the artist is unusually wide. One of the main subjects of creative heritage of I. K. Kolmogortseva is the history and culture of Tatarstan.
One of the works of the painter is about a visit of Peter the Great, the first emperor All-Russia, to Bolgar in May 1722 when he was travelling to the Persian campaign. The emperor inspected the ruins, left his autograph on the wall of Big Minaret and issued a decree on repair and preservation of Bolgar ruins. Graphic works including images of architectural monuments of ancient Bolgar were also presented at the exhibition.
Art works of I. K. Kolmogortseva reflect a high professionalism, a bright individual manner and decorative effect. Her works made a great contribution to the development of graphic art of RT.
The head of the department of exhibition activity of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Gatina Y. P. opened the exhibition.
