On 17 February 2020, an event on “In the footsteps of our ancestors” took place.

On 17 February 2020, staff members of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N. R., Salimova G.I. and Gaifutdinova O.A. held an interactive event on “In the footsteps of our ancestors” for the children of the kindergarten “Rodnichyok”.
This interactive lesson helps to form patriotic feelings; it is directed to the development of pride and respect for the past of our country, and to the broadening the mind. The event was held in a playful way. The presentation helped to acquaint children with the museums and architectural monuments of Bolgar Museum-Reserve and the history of homeland. A game “Identify a monument by its silhouette”, puzzles “Ancient vessels”, draughts and a mobile traditional game “A wolf and sheep” contributed to absorption and retention of the presented material, allowed to go back in time and feel the given period of history. The kids saw ceramic vessels, inkwells, whistles, draughts, jewelry designed as ancient Bolgar items.
Little kids always like to play. Before school, gaming activities play a leading role for them. During the games played, the kids became involved in culture of the country and the world. At the event, children answered the questions, played riddle games and received positive impressions and emotional satisfaction. At the end, little participants of the event got colorings with the images of national clothes of the peoples who lived on the territory of the ancient town of Bolgar.
