On 15 January 2020, III Winter Sports and Intellectual Competitions “Kysh Batyr” took place on the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve.

On 15 January 2020, III Winter Sports and Intellectual Competitions “Kysh Batyr” took place on the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
The ceremony of the Festival opening was held before the start. The presenter of the event – Bolgar Khan, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee for Social Affairs E. V. Savinov and Director of Bolgar Museum-Reserve R. R. Ziganshin greeted all those gathered. They wished the participants fighting spirit, healthy rivalry and will to win, and the guests – good rest and perfect mood.
During the competitions, the participants threw darts and javelins, lifted weights and dumbbells, overcame a distance of 50 meters using hunting skis, threw a sack of hay to a distance. Children demonstrated their strength and agility at competitive platforms of “Bolgar shooting gallery”, “Bolgar strong men”, “Hunter”, “Snow bag”, “Batyr’s path”, and “Snowfall”. They also showed themselves in the intellectual contest called “Secrets of ancient Bolgar”. Fans heavily supported the participants and cheered them up at all competitive platforms of the festival.
At the closing ceremony of the Festival, the administration of Bolgar Museum-Reserve thanked the Sports School “Olymp” of Spassky municipal district of RT, Spassky College of sectoral technology, Children’s House of Spassky municipal district of RT and a teacher of Bolgar Comprehensive School №2 D. A. Nikitashin for his assistance in conduct of the festival “Kysh Batyr”. After that, the winners were announced. The first places among young people aged 12-14 were taken by Salimova Alina from Bolgar Comprehensive School №2 and Kitaytsev Egor from Antonovskaya Comprehensive School of Spassky municipal district of RT; in the age category from 15 to 17 Samigullina Aliya from Iske Ryazyapskaya Comprehensive School and Maryanin Vadim from Bolgar Comprehensive School №1 won the leading positions. Rachkov Anton – a student of the 10th grade of Bolgar Comprehensive School №1 became absolute Kysh Batyr. The winners received diploma, prizes and gift certificates to visit Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
The competitions were held in a very nice and friendly atmosphere. All participants got plenty of positive emotions and had a great time outdoors. At the end, they said goodbye and wished everyone to meet again at the festival next year.
