December 3, 2018 at the Museum of Bulgarian civilization by the staff of the Department of excursions Galimullina N. R. and Rogacheva M. N. for children of GBOU “Correctional boarding school for children with disabilities” held an interactive event “Journey into the past”.
On 3 December the world celebrated the international Day of persons with disabilities, this day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1992 to draw public attention to the problems of these people. However, the main purpose of this holiday is not to cause pity to these people, but rather to remind that the disabled are on an equal footing with all members of society. At the same time, we should not forget that people with disabilities need social protection and assistance. Bulgarian Museum-reserve annually receives visitors of this category, and there are available conditions: museums and architectural monuments are equipped with special equipment.
During the event, guests in an accessible form acquainted with the exposition of the Museum, to facilitate the perception of history, games were held, riddles were solved, puzzles were collected, there were exhibits from the Windows on the cards. Subsequently, the children jointly created a mini-project ” Architecture is also a chronicle of the world …”. Students independently pasted on the poster images of Bulgarian architectural monuments and supplemented their project with drawings that reflected their vision of the world around us. At the end of the event, students received gifts and treats.
