October 20, 2018 the staff of the Museum of Bolgar civilization Sharifullina T. G. and T. P. Kamaeva held informational and educational event “Defeat the enemy in Russian!”, dedicated to the anniversary of the battle of Navarino on October 20, 1827 for students of the 7th grade of the BULGARIAN cadet boarding school named after Karpov Pavel Alekseevich and activists of the environmental movement “will be pure” Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The guys met with one of the pages of the history of the Russian fleet. Navarino battle immediately became an absolutely unique event in the history of world wars at sea. It was attended by a squadron of five States. The allied squadron of England, France and Russia, on the one hand, and the combined squadron of Turkey and Egypt— on the other. And none of these countries was in a state of war. The battle ended with a brilliant victory of the allies and almost complete destruction of the Turkish-Egyptian squadron. The losses of the Turkish-Egyptian fleet amounted to more than 60 ships and several thousand people killed and wounded. The allies have not lost a single ship. Their loss in killed and wounded amounted to 600 to 800 people. In the battle distinguished flagship of the Russian squadron “Azov” under the command of captain 1 rank M. p. Lazarev and proved themselves future Russian naval commanders, heroes of Sinop and Sevastopol defense 1854-1855 years: Lieutenant Pavel Stepanovich Nakhimov, Midshipman Vladimir A.
