The focus of the exhibition is one of the most famous works of Derzhavin, written by him in 1784. By the number of translations into different languages of the world ode ” God ” is in second place after the Bible and is the greatest work of Russian poetry of the XVIII century.
The artistic embodiment of the ode was made by teachers and students of the calligraphy art Center “from AZA to IZHITSA”, St. Petersburg. Fragments of the ode ” God ” were written by them in different languages and different types of writing.
All participants of the project unanimously noted that this exhibition is very interesting – and from the creative side, as well as penetration into the special world of spiritual poetry Derzhavin.
Thus, in the XXI century Derzhavin’s poetic skills and artistic skills of teachers and students of the calligraphy art Center “from AZA to IZHITSA”were United.
We hope that visitors will appreciate the creative efforts of calligraphers, feel how the pen and the plastic of letters reveal the deep spiritual and philosophical meaning of the ode ” God ” and combine its poetic content with the calligraphic form. The exhibition through poetic and artistic synthesis allows you to feel the true power of language as an important means of intercultural communication and a source of mutual spiritual enrichment.
