On September 10, an employee of the museum and educational activities department of the Bolgar Museum‑Reserve L. I. Sabirzyanova delivered a lecture titled “The Architecture of an Ancient City” to 25 guests from Moscow.
On the high left bank of the Volga, a few hours’ drive from Kazan, lies Bolgar — a place where time seems to stand still. The open‑air museum‑reserve is not just an archaeological park; it is a living testament to eras that have long since become part of history.
During the lecture, an educational tour of the Bolgar Museum‑Reserve was organized for the guests. The participants became acquainted with the rich exhibition of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, learned about the history of the creation of the reserve, and about how archaeological research is carried out on its territory today.
The cultural program continued with a visit to the museum and exhibition complex “Memorial Sign” and the Museum of the History of the Assumption Church. The visit ended with a walk around the reserve, during which the guests were able to see with their own eyes the preserved architectural monuments that have witnessed the great history of this region.
