On May 7, an employee of the department of museum and educational activities at the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. gave a lecture “War has no female face” to six children attending the House of Children’s Creativity in the Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was devoted to Victory Day.
During the lecture, the students learned that in 1941, more than 700,000 women were enlisted in the armed forces of the USSR. No other war has ever seen such a large-scale participation of women in bloody battles, and this is the main distinguishing feature of World War II.
During the lesson, the children learned information about the main stages of the war, the women from our region who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, and their bravery, courage, and heroic deeds.
The lecture was held to instill in the children a love for their homeland, a sense of pride for their people, and respect for their country’s history and its war heroes.
