On April 28, during the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Gabdulla Tukay, the staff of the excursion department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Musina G.M. and Galimullina N.R. held a theatrical and excursion event “Tukay is the Sun of Tatar Poetry”. 19 primary school students from Bolgar secondary school No. 2 attended the event.
During the event, the children learned about Tukay’s difficult life and short creative journey. It was noted that Tukay’s works evoke genuine love and respect from everyone who encounters them. The students listened attentively to the story and actively participated in the quiz. They also recited poems by the poet, learned about the characters from Tukay’s works, such as Shurale, Goat and Ram, Su Anasy, and others, and performed skits based on the author’s fairy tales. The event ended with a calligraphy workshop, during which the children learned about the main stages of the development of Turkic-Tatar writing and the Tatar language. We would like to believe that the children’s introduction to the works of Gabdulla Tukay has sparked their interest in his writings.
