On April 25, the head of the “Memorial Sign” exhibition complex of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Salimova G.I. held the traditional event “I Speak Tatar” dedicated to the birthday of Gabdulla Tukay and the Day of the Mother Tongue. During the event, which took place at the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the children listened attentively to the poet’s biography and read Tukay’s fairy tales in Tatar and Russian, such as “The Goat and the Ram” and “Akbay.”
Such events help to introduce children to cultural heritage and promote the study of the Tatar language.
The event was attended by 11 students from the second grades of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
