On April 26, a methodologist of the “Museum Street” department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. and a researcher Musina G.M. held the event “Oh, my native melodious language” dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar poet G. Tukay for 16 children attending the city mosque.
The participants learned about G. Tukay’s life, his difficult childhood, and his significant contribution to Tatar culture. They enjoyed reading the poet’s poems in Tatar. The children also solved riddles based on Tukay’s works and prepared a performance of the poem “Child and Butterfly”, and excerpts from the fairy tales “Shurale” and “Goat and Ram.”
The event concluded with an exhibition of books and crafts titled “Reading and knowing G. Tukay.”
