On April 16, the head of the department of museum and educational activities of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve G.K. Hramova held an educational event called “Bolgar is the pearl of Tatarstan” for the students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1. The children were presented with a short report and a colorful presentation. They learned that the inclusion of the Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014 was a key event that ensured international recognition of the authenticity of the 13th – 14th century monuments. This led to an increase in tourist attraction, increased protection of the territory, and strict monitoring of the preservation of the sites. The event continued with a discussion about the current life of the museum-reserve and ended with a game called “Guess the Monument.”
