On April 13, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve D.P. Hramov held an educational event “With a dream of the sky: Yuri Gagarin” for the students of the 9th grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
The event was held in the form of a conversation with the students. From the lecturer’s story, the listeners learned that on April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel into space on the “Vostok-1” spacecraft. For this feat, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, and the day of Gagarin’s flight into space was declared a holiday, Cosmonautics Day. After watching the presentation, the participants answered questions from a quiz.
The students also watched a short film that introduced them to the history of space exploration and the profession of an astronaut.
