On March 2, the methodologist of the “Museum Street” department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve L. Sh. Sagirova held an event “Diary sewn from scraps” dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of a poet, writer, Hero of the Soviet Union M. Jalil, for the students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
During the event, the children got acquainted with the biography and work of the poet-hero, learned about the harsh everyday life of the poet at the front, about the terrible time spent in nazi concentration camps. The participants also learned about the importance of Musa Jalil’s work for history and culture, looked at illustrations, photographs and got acquainted with the book exhibition. Special attention was paid to the “Moabite notebook”, a collection of poems written by the poet in prison, which became a symbol of courage and an unconquered spirit. Immortal lines from the “Moabite notebook” were heard, a story about the exploits of Jalil’s group in the underground.
The event was attended by 24 people.
