On February 26, the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive event “Bolgar is the keeper of folk traditions” as part of the “Pushkin’s card” project for the students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
The event featured various craft workshops including pottery, leather mosaic, wood burning, and the creation of rune-inspired amulets. At the gastronomic master class on making a special Bolgar tea, the children learned how to make a fragrant blend of herbs, flowers and berries.
For fun, they played medieval board games such as “Alquerque” and “Mill”, as well as the game “Journey to the past”, which allowed them to explore the streets of an ancient city and learn about its artifacts.
21 people attended the event.
