On February 20, an employee of the museum and educational activities department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Yu. A. Bitunova held the event “The country is strong with its army” for the students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1, dedicated to the upcoming holiday, Defender of the Fatherland Day. 17 students attended the event.
The history of the holiday on February 23 is an integral part of the history of an entire country. It is full of dozens of state, political and social facts that have repeatedly changed the fate of a multi-million-strong nation. Today, as in the past, our army is famous for its soldiers. It is through the example of these people that the younger generation is being educated.
During the event, the children learned about the history of the holiday and actively participated in the “Pathfinder” and “Decrypt the Message” contests, solving riddles, answering quiz questions, and receiving gifts at the end.
