On January 15, an employee of the department of museum and educational activities of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. held for tourists a lecture on “Protected trails” dedicated to the Day of Nature Reserves and National Parks.
Nature has been polluted for hundreds of years, but we did not really think about it until 1997. It was then, on January 11, that the Day of Nature Reserves and National Parks was established on the initiative of the Wildlife Conservation Center and the World Wildlife Fund.
The participants of the event learned about the history of the holiday and the specially protected natural territories of Russia. The tourists visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where they became acquainted with the museum’s exposition, learned about the origin and development of the museum-reserve, about research and archaeological excavations conducted on its territory. The guests also visited the Museum of the Koran and saw the preserved architectural monuments on the Bolgar ancient settlement.
A family from Yekaterinburg attended the lecture.
