On January 3, the first festive event within the framework of the winter festival “WinterFest in the city of Bolgar” took place in the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
At the New Year tree, Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, as well as historical characters Peter I and Catherine II greeted the guests. Performances of creative groups with concert numbers were presented. Funny songs sounded, and rousing dances were performed. There were also traditional winter amusements and sports-gaming contests.
For those who like to create something with their own hands, there were workshops where the masters shared the secrets of making a New Year’s souvenir. The guests participated in a New Year’s costume contest where the most original and creative images were awarded prizes.
At the “Tea and Pancake” gastronomic site, everyone was treated to freshly baked pancakes from a wood-burning oven and hot tea.
The guests captured the most striking moments in a themed photo zone. The festive day passed in an atmosphere of warmth, fun and lively communication!
More than 500 residents and guests of Bolgar and the Spassky district attended the event.
