On December 14, in the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, as part of the “Bolgar for All” project implemented at the expense of the “Tatneft” Charitable Foundation, a lesson was held for three students of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school in the creative studio “Territory of Opportunities”.
On the eve of the New Year holidays, the children learned how to work with threads and made two products. At first, the participants mastered the basics of working with a crochet: they learned how to make a chain stitch, to do a single crochet and to double crochet. Having acquired the initial knitting skill using the simplest chain stitch, the children completed the finished work – an openwork snowflake, which was pre-knitted by the staff of the museum-reserve with white woolen threads. The schoolchildren made the second product themselves using yarn of three colors, and the result was a red-breasted bullfinch.
Such classes are useful because they arouse the desire to engage in applied creativity and contribute to the development of creative abilities, attention and fine motor skills of the hands.
