On March 6, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. for 10 children attending the House of Children’s Creativity of Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan held an event “Happy first holiday of spring” timed to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8.
The children learned that in Russia the celebration of International Women’s Day became a tradition almost immediately after its “invention”, since March 2, 1913. The tradition of celebrating March 8 became stronger everywhere after the women of Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and other countries celebrated it on this day in 1914.
During the event, preschoolers learned the history of the holiday, and how different countries of the world celebrate it. The children guessed riddles, solved crossword puzzles, made beautiful greeting cards for their moms and received memorable gifts.
