March 5, 2025. Lecture “Bolgar duck”.

On March 5, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N. R. for the pupils of Bolgar kindergarten “Teremok” in the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization held an interactive lecture “Bolgar duck”.
On some exhibits of the museum-reserve, there are images of birds. Especially the attention of many tourists attract women’s temple pendants in the form of a ring with a duck – a masterpiece of jewelry artisanship of the Volga Bulgars. The work of jewelry art is associated with the mythological and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
During the event, children through the exhibits of the archeological museum became acquainted with the craft traditions of our ancestors. Special attention this time was paid to jewelry making. Ancient Bulgar legends about a duck and origin of the world helped our small visitors to plunge into the past. The children divided into teams and played the game “Find an object from the showcase”, collected puzzles with the image of Bolgar ancient gold jewelry, and found images of birds on the exhibits of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. At the end of the event, everyone colored a picture with the image of a unique Bolgar ornament as a souvenir.
18 children and 3 adults attended the event.
