The project “Inclusive Craft Center ‘Bolgar Masters’.

With the support of the development of inclusive practices in Russian museums “Without Exception” 2024 of the Charitable Foundation “Light”, the Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve started the implementation of the project “Inclusive Craft Center ‘Bolgar Masters’.
The management of the museum-reserve and the working group of the project carried out activities to develop a plan and program of work of the crafts center. Work is underway with partners to co-finance the project, as well as with contractors to purchase equipment, goods and consumables for the implementation of the project, according to the detailed estimate.
Sixty people among children and youth with mental disabilities from Spassky district will take part in the project. In the crafts center, the project participants will get acquainted with folk crafts. Each meeting will consist of an educational block including multimedia support, and a practical part. Master classes with the project participants will be held in six areas:
1. Soap making – figurative, decorative soap and gift sets.
2. Vine weaving – baskets, cachepots, decorative elements.
3. Pottery – making clay products on the potter’s wheel and hand modeling.
4. Artistic painting on plaster and clay.
5. Weaving and sewing – weaving on a loom, puppet sewing.
6. Beading – making jewelry and decorative items.
As a result of the creation of such a center, children will have the opportunity to take free classes for physical and mental development and gain experience in communication with each other.
The realization of the project will be continued according to the approved plan.
