On March 1, 2025, on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve took place a sports-historical festival “Winter Games – Bolgar Batyrs”.
At the grand opening of the festival, the participants were greeted by the host of the event – “Bolgar Khan”. Deputy Director of the museum-reserve on general issues Akhmetzyanov R. G., the head of the Education Department of the Executive Committee of Spassky Municipal District Ermilin A. N. and the head of the Department of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Valiahmetov V.N. wished the participants good luck, success, worthy results at the festival, positive emotions and unforgettable impressions.
Representatives of the young generation aged from 12 to 22 years old could feel themselves a Batyr, test their strength in various competitions. About 200 people from Alkeyevsky and Spassky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the festival. The participants passed eight stages of competitions. On separate platforms, sports-historical and intellectual competitions were presented. Boys and girls answered questions on the history of ancient Bolgar. One of the questions was timed to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The children shot a bow, covered the distance on hunting skis, threw a javelin, threw a sack of hay at a distance and a puck into a goal, as well as lifted weights. All sport-historical competitions were based on the historical reconstruction of combat and winter amusements connected with the history of Volga Bulgaria. The fans warmly supported the participants and cheered them up at all the competition areas of the festival.
The participants tried hard and showed agility, accuracy, strength, quickness, intelligence and organization. After passing all the stages of the competitions, the festival participants replenished their strength with Bolgar warriors’ porridge, hot pancakes from the oven and aromatic tea. All the children received a charge of vigor and a lot of positive emotions.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, the winners were announced.
In the age category of 12-14 years among boys:
1st place Kazakov Vladimir, Antonovskaya secondary school of Spassky district of RT;
2nd place Zavyalov Roman, Bolgar cadet boarding school;
3rd place Agarkov Egor, Bolgar cadet boarding school;
3rd place Borisov Denis, Nikolskaya secondary school of Spassky district of RT.
In the age category of 12-14 years among girls:
1st place Islanova Karina, Bolgar cadet boarding school;
2nd place Sagirova Zarina, Bolgar secondary school No. 1, Spassky district of RT;
3rd place Minsafina Rufina, Iske-Ryazyap secondary school of Spassky district of RT.
In the age category of 15-17 years among young men:
1st place Akhmetzyanov Rais, Bolgar secondary school №1 of Spassky district of RT;
2nd place Moiseev Kirill, Bolgar secondary school No. 2, Spassky district of RT;
3rd place Shmyrin Maxim, Bolgar secondary school №2 of Spassky district of RT.
In the age category of 15-17 years among girls:
1st place Sabirova Liana, Bolgar secondary school №2 of Spassky district of RT;
2nd place Rozhkova Vasilisa, Spassky technical school of branch technologies;
3rd place Palagina Ekaterina, Bolgar secondary school №2 of Spassky district of RT.
In the age category of 18-22 years among young men:
1st place Mamaev Stanislav, Chuvashsko-Burnayevskaya secondary school of Alkeyevsky district of RT;
2nd place Lifantiev Gennady, Spassky technical school of branch technologies.
In the age category of 18-22 years among girls:
1st place Garifullina Alisya, Iske-Ryazyap secondary school of Spassky district of RT.
Absolute Bolgar Batyr was recognized Minsafin Emil, Bolgar secondary school No.1 of Spassky district of RT.
The winners were awarded diplomas and memorable prizes.
