February 27, 2025. Lecture “Sudarynya Maslenitsa”.

On February 27, 2025, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Yu. A. for the students of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school held a lecture “Sudarynya Maslenitsa”.
Maslenitsa (Shrovetide) is one of the most cheerful holidays of the year, which is widely celebrated throughout Russia. At the lecture, students learned about the history and traditions of celebrating Shrovetide, that this weeklong holiday with round dances, songs and games is dedicated to saying goodbye to winter and welcoming spring. The children performed various tasks: guessed riddles, actively participated in the quiz “Wide Maslenitsa”. The event ended with a traditional treat – ruddy pancakes.
