On January 27, 2025, the head of the department “Museum of Bulgarian Civilization” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Zarifullina T.G. and museum curator Kamayeva T.P. held an information and educational event “Days and nights of the Siege of Leningrad” dedicated to the Day of Military Glory of Russia.
January 27, 1944 is the date of the complete lifting of the Nazi blockade of Leningrad. Pupils of the 6th grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 1 became acquainted with one of the heroic pages of the history of our country – the events of the Siege of Leningrad, with the concepts of the blockade, patriotism.
Throughout the class, the candle of remembrance lit in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War was burning. With interest, feeling of compassion, empathy and pride for the steadfastness of their people, their peers during the siege, the children read excerpts from archival documents, Tanya Savicheva’s diary, poems of Leningrad blockade survivor, poet Olga Bergholz. After watching the documentary film “900 Days of Courage”, they honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence. Children actively participated in the discussion of the film, shared their emotions caused by the authentic frames of the movie.
The event was attended by 24 schoolchildren.
