October 16, 2024. Round table “Juketau-Chistopol: archaeological monuments and sacral sites. Actual issues of study, preservation, use as objects of tourism”.

On October 16, 2024, in the city of Chistopol took place a round table “Juketau-Chistopol: archaeological monuments and sacral sites. Actual issues of study, preservation, use as objects of tourism”.
The round table was held on the basis of the Chistopol State Historical-Architectural and Literary Museum-Reserve. It was attended by researchers of ancient Chistopol N.G. Nabiullin, R.G. Nasyrov, Nurulla Garif, representatives of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Chairman Rkail Zaidulla, representatives of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Tatarstan and the district administration. The exhibition “Great Bolgar and Juketau. Civilization on the Volga and Kama” opened, and there one can acquaint himself with the rich collection from the funds of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
The round table was devoted to the preservation of the cultural heritage of Juketau and other historical monuments near Chistopol. Speakers noted the significant role of Chistopol in history and outlined the prospects of Juketau as a link in the chain of tourist cluster “Bolgar-Bilyar-Juketau”. J.G. Muhametshin, a researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, made a speech devoted to the study of numismatic and epigraphic heritage of Juketau. For a significant contribution to the study and popularization of the cultural heritage of Chistopolsky district, J.G. Muhametshin was awarded a letter of thanks of the Chistopolsky State Historical-Architectural and Literary Museum-Reserve.
For the participants of the Round Table was organized an excursion to the ancient settlement of Juketau and the exhibition “Great Bolgar and Juketau. Civilization on the Volga and Kama”.
