October 18, 2024. An event “Daddy’s calendar day”.

On October 18, 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. for nine preschoolers held an event “Daddy’s calendar day” timed to Father’s Day.
Father’s Day – a holiday in Russia is relatively new, just recently received official status. In our country, Father’s Day is marked on the third Sunday of October – the Russian President signed the relevant decree in 2021.
The first celebration of Father’s Day in Russia took place in 2014. That year, the festival “Dad Fest” was held in Moscow. Since then, it takes place annually not only in the capital, but also in Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad and Kazan. Also on this day, quests and festivities are organized in the cities.
During the event, the children learned about the history of the holiday, its customs and traditions, as well as participated in a quiz, read poems and solved crossword puzzles.
