October 11, 2024. An event “Traditions of architecture of Volga Bulgaria”.

On October 11, 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Usmanova D.O. held an event “Traditions of architecture of Volga Bulgaria” for 16 pupils of Lyceum № 102 of Ulyanovsk.
The most popular tourist pearl of Tatarstan is a unique monument of medieval history – the Bolgar settlement. Today on the territory of ancient Bolgar, one can see the northernmost monuments of Muslim architecture of 13-14 centuries and new modern museum complexes.
During the event, the children were given an informative excursion to the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and the Bolgar Settlement. Familiarization with the exposition was in the form of a fascinating game. The pupils looked for answers to questions and became acquainted with the history of the city of Bolgar. They walked around the territory of the Bolgar settlement, saw unique architectural monuments and heard ancient tales associated with them.
At the end of the event, there was a master class on painting souvenirs, which the children took as a souvenir.
