On October 9, 2024, the employees of the Museum of the Bulgarian Civilization Zarifullina T.G. and Kamayeva T.P. within the framework of the decade of the elderly person held an informational and entertaining event “For those who do not count the years” for 15 pensioners of the veteran organization of the administration of Spassky district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
October 1 marks the International Day of Older Persons. At first, this day was celebrated in the Scandinavian countries of Europe, then in America, and since the late 80s – all over the world. The International Day of Older Persons was finally proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1990, and in the Russian Federation – in 1992. Now every year, in the golden autumn season, we honor those who devoted all their strength and knowledge to their people, who gave their health and youth to the younger generation.
The veterans visited Parunzin F.K. Open Air Folk Art Museum where he himself told about the history of each exhibit. Here there are a small picturesque waterfall with floating sailboats at its foot, bas-reliefs of different material, paintings, a large collection of old household utensils. Even a life-size tank! All this is made by their own hands with great love. At the end of the excursion, the owner treated everyone with watermelons and melon from his own garden.
The event continued in the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where the guests got acquainted with the exhibition “Touching the roots” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of our fellow countryman, painter, member of the Council of the Chuvash National Cultural Center of Spassky district of RT, member of the Union of Artists of Tatarstan – Kirgizin Valerian Nikolayevich.
The event ended in a festive, positive atmosphere with contests, quizzes, singing songs at a friendly tea party.
