October 3, 2024. An event “Legends of Bolgar”.

On October 3, 2024, an employee of the “Museum Street” department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve L. Sh. Sagirova held an event “Legends of Bolgar” for the parishioners of the mosque of Pestrechinsky district.
The guests heard many interesting legends about natural and historical landscapes located on the territory of the museum-reserve and the town of Bolgar: “Gabdrakhman’s well”, “Rabiga Lake”, “Babiy hillock”, “About the unburnable tsarevna”.
Many legends contain historical facts of the events that took place in Ancient Bolgar. For example, the legend “Gabdrakhman’s well” is connected with the arrival of the Sahibs and the spread of Islam in the Volga region. The legend “About the unburnable tsarevna” tells about the conquest of the city in 1361.
The participants of the event visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the Koran Museum, architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries and the pearl of Tatarstan – the White Mosque.
38 people attended the event.
