On 15 August 2024, an employee of the department ‘Museum Street’ of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. for 25 guests from the city of Togliatti at the ‘Gabdrakhman’s Well’ held an interactive event ‘Water is the source of all living things’.
Drinking water is an important element necessary for the existence of all life on the planet. Since ancient times, people when choosing a location took into account the proximity of any source of life-giving moisture: river, lake, sea, ocean. The development of a site for the construction of a dwelling began with determining the location of groundwater for the construction of a well.
The tourists listened with interest to the information about the benefits of water for the body. Without water, food has no value. The guests listened to the legend and poems about ‘Gabdrahman’s Well’. They received booklets in Tatar with a brief history of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve as a souvenir of their visit to the museum.
