19 July 2024. An event on ‘To children about Islam’.

On 19 July 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Usmanova D.O. held an event on ‘To children about Islam’ for 23 students of the Krasnodar school.
Islam is the youngest of all religions. Having arisen 13 centuries ago, it had a powerful influence on the development of medieval countries. It is based on the doctrine that everything has its beginning and absolutely everything will come to an end. Islam translates as ‘surrendering oneself to God’, ‘submission’, ‘obedience’. This religion is an integral part of Russian statehood and culture. Along with other traditional religions, Islam makes an invaluable contribution to maintaining inter-ethnic peace and sustainable development of the nation and the state.
The children visited the Memorial Sign dedicated to the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922, heard a legend about one of the key moments in the history of the Bulgars, connected with the emergence of Islam long before its official adoption. At the end of the excursion to the ancient settlement, a fascinating game ‘Tyubeteika’ was held, in which the guests performed various tasks: sang, danced, told poems. All participants were satisfied and got a lot of bright impressions.
