19 July 2024. An interactive event on ‘Games of the Volga Bulgars’.

On 19 July 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N.R. held an interactive event on ‘Games of the Volga Bulgars’ for 13 children of the kindergarten ‘Solnyshko’, timed to the International Chess Day.
In the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the young visitors became acquainted with the main historical moments and the most interesting artefacts of our exposition. Special attention, of course, was paid to the games of the past – ancient draughts, chess and dice. All these items testify to the popularity of chess and other board games among the local population. Kids were introduced to the rules of the game.
The event ended at the historical embankment. Children played the medieval game ‘Mill’, with pleasure took part in the mobile game ‘Racing’. The game always implies competition, a kind of struggle. All this hardens children’s character and psyche, contributes to socialization, development of communication skills, teaches them to treat each other kindly and brings joy to the hearts of our little visitors.
