7 March 2024. An event on “Journey to the land of science”.

On 7 March 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Usmanova D. O. held an event on “Journey to the land of science” for 10 students of Bolgar Children’s School of Arts.
Every year on 8 February, scientists of our country celebrate their holiday – the Day of Russian Science. The holiday is timed to the date of foundation of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Academic University (St. Petersburg State University) approved by Peter the Great.
During the event, the children learnt who scientists are, what different sciences are needed for, heard about the latest discoveries of Russian scientists and shared their knowledge about the Day of Russian Science. During the event, the pupils turned into scientists and found themselves in an improvised “Fun Laboratory” where they performed interesting experiments. At the end of the event, the children made a conclusion: it is interesting but not easy to be scientists, but if you study diligently, you can do it all!
