19 January 2024. An event on “History of the city in the legends of old times”.

On 19 January 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Y. A. for the students of Bolgar secondary school № 1 held an event on “History of the city in the legends of old times”. The event was attended by 10 people.
The ancient city is laden with beautiful legends. Legend is a genre of folk art, in which real historical events are presented in the form of symbolic generalization. Their heroes are ordinary people, including historical figures. Of course, legends do not cover the whole history of the world, only certain periods of time.
At the event, children learnt about the legends of the ancient city of Bolgar, watched a presentation with preserved ancient monuments. At the end of the event, children collected puzzles, actively participated in a fascinating quiz and received sweet prizes.
