7 November 2023. An event on “Russia is us!”.

On 7 November 2023, a researcher of Bolgar Museum-Reserve V. A. Mukhamedov held an event on “Russia is us!” timed to coincide with the Day of National Unity. Fifteen students of the 9th grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 2 attended the event.
On 4 November, Russia celebrates one of the most important holidays of the new time – the Day of People’s Unity. This holiday is dedicated to the events of 1612 when the second militia led by Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow. It was then that the people’s will for independence was shown in the fight against foreign invaders.
During the event, visitors learnt about the history of the Time of Troubles, as well as about other events in history when people united against foreign invaders – about the actions of the people’s resistance during the Patriotic War of 1812 and about the people’s feat during the Great Patriotic War.
