June 1, 2023. Opening of the exhibition “Soviet toy – nostalgia and inspiration”.

On June 1, 2023, at 14:00 on the exhibition platform of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization will open the exhibition “Soviet toy – nostalgia and inspiration”. On the first day of summer, June 1, many countries around the world celebrate an important holiday – International Children’s Day. This is one of the very first holidays, which began to be considered international and celebrated on the same day in many countries.
The exhibition “Soviet toy – nostalgia and inspiration” is devoted to Children’s Day. A toy is always a reflection of an era to a greater or lesser degree. The exhibition will feature toys from the Soviet period: plastic and soft dolls, rocking horses and doll’s furniture, cars and Christmas tree decorations, games and children’s crockery.
This is an exhibition where you can see what Soviet children played with and show your own children the toys that were their parents’ “friends”.
