May 25, 2023. An event on “Journey to the past”.

On May 25, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve M.N. Rogachyova for 18 pupils of school No 52 of Ulyanovsk held an event on “Journey to the past” timed to coincide with the Days of World Heritage of Russia.
During this interactive and cognitive event, schoolchildren visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, got acquainted with the history of Bulgars and the city of Bolgar itself, saw numerous archeological finds represented in the museum. Children took part in the offered tasks with great interest and tried themselves as “restorers” – they assembled a complete image of the ancient articles by Bulgar artisans from fragments of photographs. This day children, walking in the territory of the Bolgar settlement, saw unique monuments of architecture of 13-14 centuries, heard ancient legends and looked into the craft workshops where they became acquainted with folk artistic trades.
Making a fascinating “journey to the past”, children gained new knowledge, had a lot of vivid impressions and positive emotions.
