November 18, 2022. Scientific and practical conference “Bolgar Museum Reserve is the keeper of historical and cultural heritage”.

On 18 November 2022, a regional scientific-practical conference “Bolgar Museum Reserve is the keeper of historical and cultural heritage” dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars was held.
Deputy Minister of Culture of RT L. S. Khakimzyanov opened the conference. The deputy director of Bolgar Museum-Reserve R. G. Akhmetzyanov and E. A. Burdin, a doctor of historical sciences, professor of the chair of philology and cultural studies of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after I. N. Ulyanov also addressed the conference.
The conference was attended by employees of museum-reserves of Kazakhstan, scientific institutions and local history museums of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Samara and Ulyanovsk regions, local historians, graduate students and teachers.
At the sections “Archaeology” and “Volga civilization: history, culture, nature”, “Regional studies” and “Museum business”, 38 reports were made on the following directions: medieval archaeology and numismatics, regional studies, discovery and preservation of historical and cultural values and traditions of Tatar people, museum business.
The scientific-practical conference gave the researchers a possibility to communicate with each other, make new ideas, discuss them and take decisions, which will be useful in their future work. The results of the activities for the year 2022 were summed up and the guidelines for the next year were defined.
