November 16, 2022. A lecture “Museum stories”.

On 16 November 2022, a staff member of the department of museum-educational activities of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. held for guests a lecture on “Museum stories”. 19 people attended the lecture.
Museum is an institution that collects, studies, stores and exhibits the monuments of material and spiritual culture. It is also engaged in educational activities. There are many different types of museums. It depends on what exhibits are kept in the museum.
In May 2013, in the town of Bolgar the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization opened, which is part of the structure of Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve. The museum halls cover an area of about 2000 square meters. The main exhibition consists of three parts: “History of Bolgar civilization”, “Ancient Bolgar: life of the city” and “Discovery of ancient Bolgar”.
During the lecture, the guests visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where they learned about the emergence and development of the museum-reserve, about the research and archaeological excavations carried out in the reserve. Tourists also visited the territory of the ancient settlement with preserved monuments of architecture of XIII-XIV centuries.
