June 20, 2022. An event on “The terrible war broke out”.

On 20 June 2022, staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Glavnova V. N. and Galimullina N. R. held for the children of Bolgar an event on “The terrible war broke out” devoted to the day of beginning of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945.
At dawn on 22 June 1941, fascist Germany without a declaration of war attacked the Soviet Union. The Great Patriotic war lasted 1418 days and nights. Fascist barbarians destroyed and burnt 1710 cities, more than 70 thousand villages, ruined 84 thousand schools, left 25 million people homeless, and 27 million people were killed. But citizens of the USSR emerged victorious from armed conflict with Germany.
At the event, children learned about the critical stages of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, about the feats of soviet soldiers and those who worked in the rear under the motto: “All for the Front, all for Victory!” Kids played a game during which they became familiar with the cities-heroes and memorial monuments devoted to the heroes of the Great Patriotic war. Children took part in a literary quiz “I remember! I am proud!” At the end of the event during a master class, kids made with their hands carnations in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945.
