May 21, 2022. Opening of the exhibition of art works “To the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria”.

On 21 May 2022, an exhibition of art works of the academician of the Russian Academy of Arts F. Khalikov and an artist-trainee P. Ilyushkina “To the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria” opened in the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization.
To a significant event, an artist-trainee of the creative workshop of RAA in Kazan Ilyushkina P. V. created the series of paintings written by results of her creative trips to Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Egypt and some other countries.
In 2022, P. Ilyushkina prepared the series of paintings devoted to the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria including a very interesting painting “Travel of Ibn Fadlan”. This work represents in separate scenes the major milestones of the way of Baghdad embassy to Volga Bulgaria in 921-922.
F. G. Khalikov, P. V. Ilyushkina, deputy director for science A. N. Faskhutdinov, staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve and guests from different cities took part in ceremonial opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition will last until June 21, 2022.
