On 27 November 2021, staff members of the museum “Suvar” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve and workers of the cultural center of the village Kuznechiha held an event on “Let’s remember everybody one by one” devoted to the death of the crew of Passenger Jet-40. 9 November 2021 marked the 80th anniversary of the day the crew of Passenger Jet-40 died – a pilot Sergey Muraviyov and a flight mechanic Konstantin Pryanichnikov. In 2012, a good memorial was installed on the pilots’ graves. During these 80 years, none of their relatives visited the graves. As it turned out, they did not know their exact location. Searchers began active work to seek the pilots’ families. Highly experienced searchers N. Yu. Dzyuba from Kerch and Prokofiev I. G. from Tatarstan with great difficulty found the relatives of the pilot Sergey Muraviov who turned out to live in Moscow. The descendants of Muraviov gave the pilot’s photos and the copies of his documents to the museum “Suvar”.
The relatives of Sergey Muraviov were found but the descendants of a flight mechanic Konstantin Pryanichnikov – were not. And, well, on 15 November 2021, when searching for the relatives a staff member of the museum “Suvar” Sadrieva N. M. posted the material she had collected about the crew of PJ-40. The material was read by a librarian from the village Sredny Yurtkul A. Akhmetzyanova. She reached out to the group of “Wait for me” in Kazan, to its manager Ilgizar Sharafutdinov. Two hours after posting the information, the descendants of the pilot were found in Kazan – great-grandchildren Pavel and Anna Gupanov. This family with great happiness took the news that they were found in order to tell them about the location of the grave of their great-grandfather-hero. They have been looking for it for years. Five days later after establishing connections, on 20 November, the Gupanov family came to bow to the memory of their great-grandfather visiting his grave in the village of Kuznechiha of Spassky district of RT.
The great-grandchildren of Pryanichnikov gave thanks to everyone who helped them to find the location of the grave of their ancestor defending his homeland during the terrible years of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. They thanked Ilgizar Sharafutdinov, Akhmetzyanova Aisylu and Sadrieva N. M. for their high professionalism, for seeking the descendants and caring for their ancestor’s grave.
The relatives of Konstantin Pryanichnikov left many sweets for the students of Kuznechihinskaya school, for children of the kindergarten and large families to remember their great-grandfather.
