On 17 November 2021, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M. N. held a lecture “On the roads of fairytales of Alish” for the students of the 2nd grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school. The purpose was to introduce schoolchildren to the biography and work of a Tatar children’s author Abdulla Alish.
Abdulla Alish was born in Spassky district, in the village Kayuki. During the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, he was taken prisoner. In a fascist camp of Wustrau, Alish was a member of clandestine resistance organized by Musa Jalil. In August 1944, Alish and other participants were executed. Heroic feat of Abdulla Alish like of other Soviet soldiers is a bright example for military-patriotic education of young people.
At the lecture, kids knew about the life, feat and work of the writer. After seeing books and cartoons, children remembered fairytales of Alish, spoke about things they teach and actively answered the questions of a quiz. At the end, all participants received small prizes, and the most active ones were awarded certificates.
