 “Pushkin’s card”

On 17 November 2021, staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Salimova G. I., Gaifutdinova O. A., Paramonycheva T. N. and Strelov A. P. held within the project “Pushkin’s card” a knowledge event on “Visiting a potter” for the students of the 9th grade of Bolgar comprehensive school №2.
Pottery in Russ passed from generation to generation. Pottery of Russian masters differs from household items of other peoples. It has its recognizable features, roots and history. Pieces of pottery are not only everyday items but also decoration, warmth and cosines in the house. The preservation of pottery is preserving our Russian traditions.
During the event, kids visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and learned about pottery of Ancient Bolgar. At the end, schoolchildren went to the pottery studio and tried their hand at this craft making a memorable souvenir for themselves on a potter’s wheel.
