 “Pushkin’s card”

On 16 November 2021, staff members of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization Zarifullina T. G., Kamayeva T. P. and Salnikova V. A. held within the project “Pushkin’s card” an information-knowledge event on “I, you, he, she – together happy family!” devoted to the International Day of Tolerance. The event was held for the students of the 9th grade of Bolgar comprehensive school №1.
On 16 November, the world celebrates the International Day of Tolerance. This decision was adopted by States-Members of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Paris on 16 November 1995.
The word TOLERANCE has its history. At the turn of XVIII-XIX centuries, Talleyrand-Périgord, Prince of Benevento lived in France. He distinguished himself by the fact that he invariably remained the Minister for Foreign Affairs under different governments. This man was talented in many fields, respected people and sought ways to address issues trying not to be detrimental to the interests of other people. The word “tolerance” is connected to this man’s name.
There is no person who does not like holidays. Holidays improve relationships between people, promote mutual understanding and educate to respect different peoples, customs and traditions. Due to holidays, we wish and try to protect our native land and to become more familiar with each other. At the event, kids had a quiz “Connoisseurs of folk holidays”. At the end, they watched a social video “Five minutes of kindness”.
