September 28, 2021. An event on “Extremism is the main threat in today’s world”.

On 28 September 2021, the head of museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramova G. K. held an information-knowledge event on “Extremism is the main threat in today’s world” for the students of the 10th grade of Bolgar comprehensive school №1.
The participants knew that extremism is commitment to extreme views and actions that radically deny the existing social norms.
There are ethnic, political, religious, economic and other kinds of extremism that can happen at a personal, group or state level. In psychological terms, adolescence and youth are characterized by the development of identity, perfect feeling of justice, search for meaning and worth of life.
It is during this period that a teenager wants to find his group and his separate identity. Attempt to gain a foothold in life leads to uncertainty and desire to gather like-minded friends. This circle of people may well be an extremist subculture, an informal association, a radical political organization or a sect.
At the event held in the form of discussion, kids learned what can be considered as extremist actions; how to avoid becoming a victim of extremism or terrorism; what to do not to fall under the influence of extremists on the Internet and in social media.
