On 20 November 2020, in the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization opened an exhibit “Our veterans” devoted to our compatriots – natives of Spassky district who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. This date has a special significance for our country. It is a sacred memory of the dead in the battlefields. It is our history, our pain, our hope. The first duty of all future generations is to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, to forget none of the dead soldiers, to pay tribute to living veterans of the war and the home front for their heroic feat in the Great Patriotic War.
It has been many years since the Great Patriotic War ended. Time razed trenches, grain sprouts on former battlefields, cities and villages destroyed by fascists were rebuilt. The traces of war vanish from the face of the earth but its echo still does not die down in people’s souls.
The exhibition will leave no one indifferent, for the great feat of our fathers and grandfathers will remain forever in the memory of Russian people.
The exhibit will last until 15 December 2020.
