On 22 September 2020, the head of museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. held an online tour “Bolgar invites”.
On the tour, the audience had the opportunity to visit virtually one of the halls of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. During the excursion, the guests became familiar with some architectural monuments of ancient Bolgar and saw the layouts of the Cathedral mosque, Khan’s palace, Khan’s bathhouse and others. Owing to the unique method of plastic reconstruction of the facial features of the skull (anthropologist M. M. Gerasimov), the audience saw and learned what the residents of medieval Bolgar looked like. The visitors also were briefed on the role of Bolgar in the Golden Horde, its ethnic and religious diversity, everyday life and economy of its inhabitants.
